Russian intelligence agencies tried to disrupt the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Afghanistan.
This is reported by UA with the reference to the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Russian media reported that there would be no evacuation of Ukrainians and that Ukraine had left its citizens to their fate.
According to Ukrainian military intelligence officer who participated in the operation to evacuate Ukrainians from Afghanistan, an officer of the Ukrainian military intelligence, the officers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine carried out a successful evacuation operation, despite the danger from the Russian special services.
“Our citizens, whom we took away, were repeatedly offered to go to Russia in exchange for their statements that Ukraine had left them to face certain death” – Ukrainian military intelligence officer said.
However, soon a video of the highly professional work of Ukrainian intelligence officers was broadcast on the world’s leading TV channels and once again confirmed the “fake” nature of Russian propaganda.
To remind, on September 30, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that Ukrainian citizens who want to evacuate stay in Afghanistan. And Ukraine will continue to make efforts for their evacuation.
