The majority of weapons included in the US aid package for Ukraine are placed in storages in Germany and Poland, which will accelerate the delivery after the bill is approved by the Senate.

That’s according to CNN.

“While American officials will not say so openly, a US source familiar with the provision of military aid to Ukraine said much of it is already pre-positioned in storage facilities in Germany and Poland, which would obviously cut down on the amount of time needed to get it into Ukraine,” the article reads.

In addition, Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder hinted at such a scenario before the vote in the House of Representatives took place.

“As you know, we have a very robust logistics network that enables us to move materiel very quickly. As we’ve done in the past, we can move within days,” he said.

It is also noted that ammunition shells would be “among the first materials moved forward”.

Still, CNN journalists assume that the situation on the battlefield will not be significantly improved in an instant as logistics would remain a challenge when Ukraine gets a great amount of weapons which need to be distributed efficiently.

“…The cited ratio advantage of 10 to one that Russia currently enjoys will not be wiped out immediately,” concludes the article.
