President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine claims Russia has acome up with a plan to disrupt the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland in June, 2024.
Zelensky made this statement at a meeting with representatives of partner states and international organizations based in Ukraine.
“We have specific intelligence data indicating that Russia not only wants to disrupt the Peace Summit, but also has a specific plan for how to do so, including how to reduce the number of participating countries and how to act in order to thwart peace efforts for even longer,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated, appealing to the representatives.
According to him, everyone shpuld be equally interested in coercing Russia to peace and respect for international law.
Zelenskyy is sure that the majority of the world can ensure it, and the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland gives the international community a real chance to do so. Together, participating countries will bring a just and long-lasting peace for Ukraine closer.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said that Ukraine expects about 100 countries to attend the first inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland which will take place on June 15-16.
