Elina Svitolina snatched victory from an American at a tournament in Chicago

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina successfully defeated the representative of the United States Amanda Anisimov in the second round of the tournament in Chicago.

This is reported by UA with the reference to “Fakty” (“Facts”).

Svitolina beat 20-year-old Anisimova with a score of 6:4, 6:3. It took the Ukrainian 1 hour and 20 minutes to pick up the triumph at this stage.

In the first game, the sixth racket of the world successfully completed two breaks and the American – one. Also Ukrainian has realized her first set point.

At the start of the second set, the Ukrainian tennis player immediately took the American serve, however, and made a reverse break.

But in the fifth game Elina again snatched a victory on Amanda’s serve and took the lead with a score of 5:3. In the ninth set, Svitolina was able to win on the serve of her opponent.

During the game, the 27-year-old Ukrainian made two aces, made three double faults and realized five break points out of seven. At the same time, the American performed one ace, seven double faults and two breaks for three break points.

In the next round of the WTA-500 Chicago Fall Tennis Classic, Svitolina will face Elena-Gabriela Ruse from Romania.
