President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife Olena have arrived in the United Kingdom to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow.

This is reported by UA with reference to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The head of state will speak at the conference on Monday, November 1.

A number of meetings between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders of other states are also planned.

Meanwhile, a dispute broke out between Ukraine and Russia at the opening of the plenary session over Moscow inclusion of occupied Crimea in its greenhouse gas emissions reports, in violation of international resolutions. Ukraine was supported by partners from the EU, Canada and the United States.

“A number of documents of the Russian Federation include information on emissions and removals of greenhouse gases in the Russian-occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Let me remind you of paragraph 6 of the UN General Assembly Resolution “Territorial Integrity of Ukraine” № 68/262 of March 27, 2014, which calls on all states, international organizations and specialized agencies not to recognize any change in the status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol” – said Counselor-Envoy of the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain Dmytro Matyushchenko.
