Ukraine currently holds its strongest battlefield position since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, UATV English reports.

Speaking after the summit, Zelenskyy said Ukraine has successfully prevented Russia from achieving its military objectives despite more than three years of war.

“Ukraine now has the strongest positions on the front line of the entire war,” the president said.

Zelenskyy also acknowledged that Ukraine continues to face a critical shortage of interceptor missiles capable of defeating ballistic missile attacks.

“It is true that Ukraine currently does not have enough interceptors to counter ballistic missiles,” he said.

According to the president, this challenge prompted the launch of the FREYJA program, a new initiative aimed at developing a mass-produced European anti-ballistic interceptor.

“That is precisely why we launched a new program to create a mass-produced anti-ballistic weapon — FREYJA,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian leader stressed that Russia has repeatedly sought to break Ukraine’s resistance throughout the full-scale war but has failed to achieve a breakthrough on the battlefield.

“Throughout the years of the full-scale war, Putin has tried to break us. The front has not allowed him to do so,” Zelenskyy said.

The remarks came after members of the newly established Anti-Ballistic Coalition agreed to deepen cooperation on developing a European missile defense architecture and accelerating joint production of next-generation interceptor systems.
