Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduces a bill on multiple citizenship

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is introducing a bill on multiple citizenship.

The head of state said this during a speech to the Verkhovna Rada with an annual message on the situation in Ukraine, UA writes.

According to him, an important component of our international policy is the support of world Ukrainians.

“I know how important the issue of multiple citizenship is for Ukrainians living in the United States, Canada and the EU. Today I am submitting the relevant bill to the parliament. There are 65 million of us” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He noted that for the first time Ukrainians from all over the world will not feel like a diaspora.

“[It is important to be] not just people of Ukrainian origin, but [to have] Ukrainian citizenship. To be Ukrainians” – the head of state added.

Earlier it was reported that by December 10, the President will submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the economic passport of Ukrainians.
