President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sees Ukraine as an outpost of security, a stable country in 5-10 years.
He said this during the presentation of the plan for the transformation of Ukraine in the Mount Vernon, UA reports.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded that the land market has been opened in Ukraine, laws to support Ukrainian and foreign investors are being passed, and the rule of law and judicial reform are in priority.
“We have a clear vision of what Ukraine should become in five to ten years. This is an ambitious plan for the transformation of our state. More justice, more opportunities – we are building a prosperous and stable Ukraine, “he said.
The President explained that the document defines the vision of Ukraine’s development for the coming years as an outpost of security, digital, infrastructure and agricultural hub.
According to him, the plan for the transformation of Ukraine’s economy sets ambitious goals for the development of human capital, ensuring “green” transformation and energy security of the country.
“More than 80 projects in the plan are ambitious projects worth a total of $ 277 billion. They provide funding from the state budget of Ukraine, as well as attracting international aid programs, loans, investments, “he said.
The head of state also stated that Ukraine is now actively looking for ways to unblock the negotiations in the Normandy format.
“We are seriously thinking about how to unlock the Normandy format. We need to talk about real steps for a peaceful settlement of the war in Donbass, in eastern Ukraine. And here we need for powerful partners. We are really inviting the United States of America, particularly the President. We will talk about several models of this issue, how it would be right to do fairly and safely for the region, “said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the President, the issue of Ukraine today is “not only the issue of Ukraine.”
“We see what is happening in the world. The question of Ukraine is no longer just a question of Ukraine. These are already issues of both Moldova and the Baltic states. This is a question for Belarus. The issue of independence of Belarus. And there are a lot of such issues” the head of state emphasized.
To remind, Ukraine and the United States signed an agreement on the foundations of a defense partnership.
