The Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) is taking place today, June 25, in Poland, bringing together governments, businesses, and international partners to mobilize investment and support for Ukraine’s reconstruction. FREEДОМ correspondent Oleh Borysov reported the first details from Gdańsk, UATV English reports.

According to Borysov, the conference is expected to host 58 government delegations and around 100 representatives from various countries.

“The Ukrainian delegation has already arrived. We had the opportunity to meet and speak off camera with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Taras Kachka, Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna, and other officials,” he said.

The conference will primarily focus on Ukraine’s post-war recovery, including the use of frozen Russian assets to finance reconstruction.

“Before going live, I walked through the exhibition area. It features more than 1,000 exhibits and over 1,000 participating organizations. Both Ukrainian and international companies are represented here, including military technology hubs,” Borysov reported.

According to him, the exhibition showcases the internationally recognized P1-Sun interceptor drones, as well as robotic ground drones that have repeatedly saved Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield.

“Yes, the main focus here is Ukraine’s recovery, but there will also be discussions on defense technologies, investment in those technologies, and entering international markets. That is equally important for both Ukraine and the rest of the world,” he added.

Borysov noted that Ukraine’s partners are emphasizing that Europe’s future security is impossible without Ukraine.

“The point is not simply to take Europe’s experience in defending against Russian aggression into account, but to integrate Ukraine’s experience into Europe’s security architecture. That will also be one of the key topics discussed here in Gdańsk,” he said.

High-level meetings are expected to begin shortly, followed by the first plenary session of participating leaders. Press briefings are also scheduled, including appearances by Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, whose initiative brought this year’s conference to Poland.

“Of course, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko will also speak. She arrived at the conference with a number of important announcements, and many positive developments are already being unveiled,” the journalist added.

Borysov also emphasized that a United States delegation is participating in the conference.

As previously reported, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko is leading the Ukrainian delegation at URC 2026, which is being held in Gdańsk, Poland, on June 25–26.
