Ukraine plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% until 2030.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a speech at the UN Conference on Climate Change, UA informs.

According to him, Ukraine was one of the first in Europe to ratify the Paris Agreement.

“In terms of emission reductions Ukraine ranks fourth among 45 parties to the UN Framework Convention. Our goals by 2030 are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% and to achieve climate neutrality by 2060” – said the President.

He noted that Ukraine supports a number of climate conference initiatives, in particular, the Declaration of Forest and Land Use.

“Access to reliable and long-term climate finance is important for us, especially within the Green Climate Fund” – the head of state added.

To remind, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Emir of Qatar in Glasgow.
