On November 24, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the functioning of the National Register of Blood Donors and its components.

This was reported by UA with reference to the Ministry of Health.

According to the report, the document should “strengthen the state-guaranteed safety and quality of donated blood and blood components, the safety of donors and recipients, as well as persons who are prohibited from performing the function of donor”.

The national registry will ensure the safety of the donor by recording data on his medical examination, admission or removal from the donation, donations made and possible complications associated with the donation.

“The register will provide full traceability of the movement of donor blood and blood components from donor to recipient “from vein to vein” – said in a statement.

The register will contain the conclusions of the donor examination before delivery, the results of blood tests. It will also allow you to automatically count the number of donations, on the basis of which the status of “Honorary Donor of Ukraine” is granted.
