There are about 50 Ukrainians in Afghanistan. Diplomats specify who of them wants to evacuate.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko told this, UA reports with reference to Ukrinform.

“According to the Foreign Ministry, up to 50 Ukrainians remain in Afghanistan. Almost all of them are currently in contact, and diplomats are clarifying who wants to be evacuated. At the same time, possible ways of safe evacuation are being worked out, in particular, using the capabilities of foreign partners. We are keeping the situation under special control” – Nikolenko said.

He noted that now two Ukrainian diplomatic missions at once – in Tajikistan and Pakistan – are monitoring the situation and are ready to help our citizens.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine evacuated 79 people from Afghanistan.

The Foreign Ministry has also warned Ukrainians against traveling to Afghanistan.
