The oversight of the Joe Biden administration’s policies on Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, will be overseen by diplomat Robin Dunnigan in the US Department of State.

It is reported by UA with the reference to Radio Liberty.

According to the report, Robin Dunnigan served as the Undersecretary for Energy Diplomacy at the State Department’s Bureau of Energy Resources from 2014 to 2017. Now she will contribute to the formation of policies regarding Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

For the past three years, Dunnigan has worked at the US Embassy in Vienna, firstly as Deputy Head of Mission and most recently as Chargé d’Affaires of Austria.

Robin Dunnigan criticized Russia’s plans to build the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany along the bottom of the Baltic Sea, which would deprive Ukraine of about USD 2 billion a year.

Robin Dunnigan took up a new position on September 7.
