This is reported by UA with the reference to the website of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

The parties agreed on joint actions during a meeting between representatives of the Ukrainian State Service for Special Communications and their American counterparts.

Cooperation in the field of cyber security and cyber defense with our American friends, partners and colleagues is important for ensuring the national security of Ukraine, European and global security. Together we will build an effective and reliable system of deterrence and counteraction to the information and hybrid war, which Russia has been waging against Ukraine for the eighth year” – said the head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine Yuriy Shchyhol.

Following the meeting, the parties plan to conclude an agreement by the end of this year. It will provide, in particular, the exchange of experience and information to counter the aggression of the Russian Federation in cyberspace.

A strategy is also being developed to protect critical information infrastructure facilities.

In general, the plans include a large amount of joint work, which consists of many points. All of them will contribute to strengthening cybersecurity, both nationally and globally.

The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine has already signed an agreement with the US Department of State on the establishment of a secure communication line.
