The House of Representatives voted in favor of a draft defense budget for the next fiscal year. The document included a ban on the purchase of Russian government bonds by Americans.
This is reported by UA.
In addition, the presidential administration suggests considering sanctions against 35 Russians.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, businessmen Roman Abramovich and Alisher Usmanov, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan and TV anchor Vladimir Solovyov are among them.
The project also includes new sanctions against the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
The President of the United States must impose restrictions on all those involved in the operation and construction of the pipeline no later than in 15 days, if the law comes into force.
The US Senate must also approve its version of the defense budget. Then the details of the two projects will be coordinated and both chambers will vote for the document again. And after that, it will go to the President of the United States of America for signature.
