The Swiss Foreign Minister will arrive in Ukraine on October 27-29

Ignazio Cassis, Vice President and Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, will visit Ukraine on October 27-29. He will meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

UA reports this with reference to the statement of the press service of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, which is at the disposal of the “Yevropeiska Pravda” web site.

As part of his visit, Cassis will visit Odessa on October 27 and travel to Kyiv on October 28 to hold bilateral talks with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.

On October 29, Cassis and the Prime Minister of Ukraine will begin preparations for the Fifth Conference on Reforms in Ukraine (URC 2022), to be held on July 4-5, 2022 in Lugano.

“The conference will support Ukraine’s reform efforts in 2022, with a focus on stability and prosperity, which are also key priorities of the Swiss Foreign Policy Strategy for 2021-2023″ – the statement said.

Two members of the National Council, Christine Badercher (member of the Finance and Foreign Policy Committee) and Lars Guggisberg (member of the Finance Committee and president of its FDFA / EAER subcommittee) will accompany Cassis on his trip to Ukraine.

By the way, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States will launch the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation.
