British journalist and publicist Edward Lucas believes that the United States’ willingness to negotiate with the Kremlin will lead to disaster.

UA reports this.

Lucas stressed that the West should make it clear to Russia that an attack on Ukraine will not work and will lead to the losses. He stressed that this requires sending military equipment to our country and conducting exercises in the Black Sea region to show readiness to resist any aggression.

The publicist also expressed his opinion on NATO’s reaction to the current events.

“I believe that NATO should show that it is worth the money we are spending on it now. It is now an almost invisible organization. All the negotiations were undertaken by the United States. Therefore, NATO should already organize exercises in the Baltic States and the Black Sea in order to prove its ability to respond to any provocation by Russia” – Lucas said.

122,000 Russian servicemen are at a distance of 200 km near the borders of Ukraine, and 143,500 are at a distance of 400 km.
