The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine that the purpose of the attack on the first assistant to the president, Serhiy Shefir, was not to frighten, but to kill.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky at a briefing, UA informs.
“I want to emphasize that the purpose of the attack was not to frighten, but to kill the first assistant to the President of Ukraine. I emphasize that the president’s team will not be scared, the reforms that have been launched, in particular in the fight against organized crime, will be continued” – Monastyrsky said.
It is known that the National Police of Ukraine is considering three main versions.
“In connection with state activities, in order to put pressure on the top leadership of the state, in order to destabilize the political situation, in particular, a version with the participation of special services of foreign states is being considered” – said the head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
It is known that unknown persons fired at the car of the first assistant to the President Serhiy Shefir near Kyiv, near the village of Lisnyky, today,on September 22, at 10 AM. About 10 bullets hit the car. The driver was injured. He was operated and is in a stable condition now.
