President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the attack on his first assistant and close friend Serhiy Shefir. The head of state noted that this attack is considered an attempted murder, who is behind it is unknown.

“Serhiy is alive, the driver, unfortunately, was wounded. He is now in the hospital. Law enforcement officers are working on the scene and an interception plan has been introduced” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The President said that law enforcement officers are now working at the scene, and the injured driver of Serhiy Shefir is in the hospital.
“Sending greetings with a shot from the forest to a friend’s car is a weakness” – the head of state noted and stressed that the response would be strong.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that this case would not affect the strength and course of his team.
To remind, unknown persons fired at the car of the first assistant to the President Serhiy Shefir near Kyiv, near the village of Lisnyky, today,on September 22, at 10 AM. About 10 bullets hit the car. The driver was injured. He was driving in an unarmored car and did not use state security.
