Swimmer Andriy Trusov set a world record and won the gold medal of the 2020 Paralympics

21-year-old Ukrainian swimmer Andriy Trusov won his third medal at the Paralympics in Tokyo.

UA reports this citing the “Ukrinform” agency.

The representative of Donetsk region won the “gold” in the distance of 100 meters on his back, setting a world Paralympic record – 1 minute 08.14 seconds.

Poltava resident Yevhen Bohodaiko (1.11,57) finished being the fifth.

The Paralympic team of Ukraine has already won 48 awards – 12 gold, 24 silver and 12 bronze.

To remind, on August 27 Anna Stetsenko won a gold medal in freestyle swimming on distance of 400 meters.
