Special body will be created to implement the Donbas economic development strategy – Vereshchuk

Next year, special body will be created to implement the strategy of economic development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk on Dom TV channel, UA reports.

According to her, work on the program continues.

“We have already met with the British, held several rounds of meetings with all donors and understand where to go. That is, they have invested money in the budget for the 22nd year, for example, for the creation of a governing body, which will be located here in Donetsk region, and will be engaged in spatial development, as set out in this strategy. And we will only strengthen those areas that relate to the implementation of economic development strategy. We already have the understanding, vision and necessary tools to continue the work of this strategy” – Vereshchuk said.

To remind, the strategy for economic development of the region until 2030 was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers in August. It provides, in particular, the development of the real sector of the economy, the construction of critical infrastructure and investment.
