Russian airborne troops conduct military exercises in the occupied Crimea

More than 1,200 Russian paratroopers and over 250 units of military equipment are being used in live-fire military exercises in the occupied Crimea and Krasnodar Krai.

This is reported by UA with reference to Interfax.

On December 23, the exercises are taking place at the Opuk training ground in Crimea. On December 24 they will be held at the “Raevsky” training ground near Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai.

The combat firing of airborne assault, artillery units and units of radiation, chemical and biological protection troops will be practiced, as well as demining of a section of the terrain and covering troops from air attack weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles. The servicemen will perform fire missions and hit targets at various ranges.

Earlier, firing from American anti-tank missile systems “Javelin” took place in the Donetsk region, in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. They were fired in Donbas for the first time. The complexes can destroy tanks at a distance of up to 5 km.
