Combat shootings from American Javelin anti-tank missile systems took place in Donbas (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

In the zone of the JFO in Donetsk region firing from American anti-tank missile systems “Javelin” took place. They were used in Donbas for the first time. The complexes can destroy tanks at a distance of up to 5 km.

The main advantage of Javelins is ease of control. After launch, the rocket can be guided to the target, which allows achieving almost 100% shooting accuracy.

Now almost 100 launchers and about 500 missiles to Javelins are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They can be used in Donbas in case of a full-scale Russian invasion.

Against the backdrop of the threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine the North Atlantic Alliance has put the NATO Rapid Reaction Force on high alert. Their total number is 40,000 servicemen.
