The British Embassy in Ukraine has called on Russia to end mass detentions of Crimean Tatars and release all Ukrainian political prisoners immediately.

This is stated in the message of the embassy on Twitter, UA writes.

The agency stressed that mass detentions of Crimean Tatars by Russia, including 31 of them detained yesterday (November 23 – ed.), should stop.

“The United Kingdom calls on Russia to stop its unacceptable attempts to intimidate the Crimean Tatar community and to release all Ukrainian political prisoners immediately” – the statement said.
