The border with Ukraine from the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, that is, where Russian volunteers carry out their raids, is covered by a group of Russian troops with a total number of about 35 thousand people. This is not enough for a 750 km border. This opinion was shared by military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Alexander Kovalenko on the FREEDOM TV channel.

“The so-called border cover group is used. It consists of three groups of troops from the respective regions. This is the group of troops “Belgorod”, the group of troops “Kursk” and the GV “Bryansk”. The total number of the group is about 35 thousand people. Approximately a thousand people are in reserve. The largest is the Belgorod group of troops: 17.5 thousand personnel. It may seem at first glance that this is a rather serious group, but in fact, absolutely not. Since we are talking about a border with a length of more than 750 km, which today is controlled from the Ukrainian side of the border with Russia. And it is precisely over these more than 750 km that this number of personnel of these groups should be proportionally, evenly distributed,” says the guest of the broadcast.

Kovalenko recalled that, for example, to attack the city of Avdeevka in the Donetsk region, Russia used several times more military: 120 thousand people on an area of about 29 square meters. km.

“From this we can draw the appropriate conclusion that these groups of troops are simply critically insufficient to completely close the entire border with Ukraine. And why? Because the bulk of the troops are in Ukraine – in temporarily occupied territories, in the combat zone,” said Alexander Kovalenko.

Let us remind you that the chief of staff of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) Alexander “Fortuna” said that the raids of Russian volunteers do not have a specific completion date and continue to develop with the involvement of new forces and equipment. The offensive potential of Russian volunteers is being realized along the entire line of contact in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation.
