‘Having absorbed the best national military traditions formed in difficult, bloody wars and armed conflicts of the past, the Ukrainian army during its recent history has come a long way to forming a capable and highly organized fighting structure, confident and able to break any aggression, and plans of the enemy’ – the head of state noted.

He stressed that Ukrainians are proud of their Armed Forces, show them the highest level of trust, because it is the Ukrainian soldiers who have preserved the independence of Ukraine, for which our ancestors fought for centuries.

On the day of their professional holiday servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue fulfilling their most important mission – they defend the freedom and sovereignty of the state from the Russian aggressor.

‘On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I express my gratitude to the personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their selfless service, resilience and heroism shown during the defense of our country’s territorial integrity.
