NATO is convening an extraordinary meeting on building up Russian troops on Ukraine’s borders

On January 7, NATO foreign ministers will hold an extraordinary online meeting on the build-up of Russian troops near Ukraine’s borders.

This was reported by UA with reference to the NATO press service.

“An extraordinary virtual meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022” – the statement said.

NATO foreign ministers will discuss Russia’s military build-up in and around Ukraine, as well as European security issues.

The meeting will be chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

It will be recalled that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with the Foreign Ministers of the Bucharest Nine the situation on the Ukrainian border, where Russia is withdrawing troops and equipment.
