Ending of hostilities in the Donbass is possible through political and diplomatic means – Reznikov

The conflict in Donbass can be resolved through political and diplomatic means. However, in case of any threat to its territorial integrity, Ukraine will not make any concessions.

This was stated by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov at a joint briefing with the Minister of Defense of Denmark Trine Bramsen,  UA reports.

According to minister, reintegration of some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is possible under conditions of complete security.

“If it is a Kremlin ultimatum that we have to get another federal district or some kind of autonomy there, which they dream of, it is impossible. If you look at opinion polls in Ukraine, 70 percent of Ukrainians agree to return to the occupied territories on the conditions existing before 2014. This means that Ukraine is a unitary country and there can be no other option” – Oleksiy Reznikov said.

Earlier Ukraine’s defense minister Reznikov said that the strategy “not to provoke Russia” will not work.
