Biden and von der Leyen are concerned about the flow of illegal immigrants through Belarus

At talks in Washington, US President Joe Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed concern over the situation with illegal immigrants heading to the EU via Belarus.

This was reported by the White House, UA writes with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

The leaders discussed the humanitarian situation on the EU’s borders with Belarus. They expressed serious concern about the flow of illegal migrants.

“Biden and von der Leyen also discussed joint commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity” – the statement said.

Biden shares the European assessment of the situation on Poland’s border with Belarus. According to the US President and the President of the European Commission, Belarus will not be able to destabilize its neighbors.

To remind, Ukraine is in full control of the situation on its border with Belarus. Currently, border guards are strengthening their defenses and are ready for possible provocations.
