Ukraine has complete control over the situation on its border with Belarus. Currently, border guards are strengthening defense and are ready for possible provocations.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin said this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, UA reports.
According to law enforcement officer, the situation at the border is completely under control.
“Neighbors must realize that Ukraine’s borders are prepared for such provocations. The probable directions in which migrants can reach Ukraine have already been calculated” – he said.
Yenin noted that forces and means are currently being increased on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to curb the flow of migrants if necessary.
“Measures are being taken to engineering the section of the state border of Ukraine with Belarus. Ukraine’s state border guards will be reinforced with personnel, equipment and special means, including drones and service dogs” – said a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
To remind, illegal migrants from Belarus can try to get to the countries of the European Union not only through Poland, but also through the territory of Ukraine.
