A large-scale energy modernization program is starting in Ukraine – Shmyhal

A large-scale presidential program on energy modernization will start in Ukraine next year.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UA informs.

According to him, this program will help reduce the amount of payments.

The government also promises a successful passage of this year’s heating season.

At the same time, as Deputy Minister of Energy Yaroslav Demchenkov assured, the main power grids, which supply energy from nuclear power plants, hydro and thermal power plants to the homes of Ukrainians, are ready for operation.

“Ukrenergo carried out capital and current repairs of the equipment. Substations provided backup power. The system works reliably in the winter, which will ensure the normal passage of the test mode, as well as provide both domestic and industrial consumers in the winter” – he said.
