President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a series of bilateral meetings on June 16 with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Kenyan President William Ruto, focusing on security cooperation, economic ties, and support for Ukraine.

During talks with the UAE president, the leaders discussed further cooperation between the two countries and opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, UATV English reports.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is ready to deepen its partnership with the United Arab Emirates in the interests of regional and global security and stability.

At a separate meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the discussions centered on new UK support measures for Ukraine, including additional sanctions targeting Russia’s shadow fleet, strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, and increasing pressure on Moscow.

The two leaders also discussed the possibility of British participation in the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most important cultural and religious landmarks.

Zelenskyy also met with Kenyan President William Ruto. The leaders discussed investment opportunities, food security, and the potential for joint projects between Ukraine and Kenya.

The meetings took place as Ukraine continues diplomatic efforts to strengthen international support, expand economic cooperation, and advance initiatives aimed at restoring peace and security.
