President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the title “Hero of Ukraine” to Ukrainian swimmer Maksym Krypak, who became the most titled athlete at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

This was announced on September 17 during a meeting with the champions and prize-winners of the 16th Summer Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, UA reports.

“From today you are the Hero of Ukraine” – the president said, addressing the athlete.

“For achievements in the XVI Summer Paralympic Games-2020 in Tokyo, for the revealed dedication and will to win, the confirmation of the international authority of Ukraine, he was awarded the title “Hero of Ukraine” with the award of the Order of the State to Maksym Krypak, 5-time champion, silver and bronze medalist in swimming ” – announced at the ceremony.

To remind, Maksym Krypak won 5th gold at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. This medal is the 15th in the athlete’s career.
