Starting July 1, an agricultural land market is launched in Ukraine.

UA reports this.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the corresponding law on April 28.

From July 1, 2021, only citizens of Ukraine can become owners of agricultural land plots with an area of up to 100 hectares.

Starting January 1, 2024, legal entities owned by Ukrainians will also get this opportunity. They will be able to purchase up to 10,000 hectares of land. The sale of state-owned and communal lands is prohibited.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that opening of the land market will allow the Ukrainian agricultural sector to become a locomotive of economic development.
