Ukraine will join NATO when the Alliance realizes that the country can make it stronger. To do this, it is necessary to become a powerful state in the field of security.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a briefing following a meeting with Presidents of Poland and Lithuania, Andrzej Duda and Gitanas Nauseda, UA reports.

“Ukraine, or countries like Ukraine, will join NATO only when it is NATO that realizes that it is not NATO that strengthens other nations’ security, but other powerful nations strengthen NATO” – the president said.

On December 20, a meeting of the “Lublin Triangle” with the participation of the Presidents of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania was held at the state residence “Synehora” in the village of Huta of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

To remind, on December 14, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the planned visit of the leaders of Lithuania and Poland to Ukraine.
