Ukraine is prepared for a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Türkiye, with a ceasefire potentially becoming the first concrete result of such talks, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha saidUATV English reports.

According to Sybiha, Ukraine’s recent asymmetric operations against targets inside Russia have significantly strengthened Kyiv’s negotiating position and helped create conditions for the possible start of direct dialogue.

The foreign minister stressed that any future settlement must also address security in the Black Sea. He said lasting maritime security would be impossible without the de-occupation of Crimea.

Sybiha also called for an international monitoring mission to be deployed to Ukrainian ports to document Russian attacks on civilian maritime and port infrastructure.

The minister noted that following the NATO summit, partners confirmed more than €1.5 billion in additional assistance for Ukraine.

Separately, Sybiha highlighted the ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of the free trade agreement with Türkiye. He said the agreement is expected to increase bilateral trade and create broader opportunities for Ukrainian and Turkish businesses.
