Ukraine has received USD 700 million from the IMF – chairman of the National Bank

Today, November 24, Ukraine received the second tranche of USD 699 million in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

This was reported by UA with reference to the Facebook of the chairman of the National Bank Kyrylo Shevchenko.

“Today, Ukraine received the second tranche from the International Monetary Fund under the Stand-by program in the amount of 500 million special drawing rights (SDRs) (equivalent to USD 699)” – Shevchenko said.

The head of the National Bank noted that the funds will go to the government’s accounts with the National Bank of Ukraine and increase international reserves.

It will be recalled that the IMF has completed the first revision of the Stand by (SBA) program and decided to allocate a second tranche of USD 699 million for Ukraine, as well as to extend the program until June 2022.
