UATV and The Gaze in June: Total Views Up 33%, Launch of UATV Magyarul, Russian Strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and Ukraine’s Long-Range Sanctions in the Spotlight

In June, views of video and text content in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian and French across all digital platforms of Ukraine’s international broadcasting brands UATV and The Gaze (YouTube, Facebook, X, WhatsApp and websites) increased by 33.4%, reaching 56.7 million views* — 14.2 million more than the previous month. Of these, 33.8 million views came from Facebook and 22.9 million views on YouTube, with 95% of YouTube views coming from international audiences. Posts published in the YouTube Communities of the international broadcasting channels reached 18.3 million impressions*.

Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities, including the attack on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, as well as Ukraine’s long-range sanctions targeting logistics, oil and military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea and deep inside Russia, became the most resonant topic across all Ukraine’s international broadcasting platforms in June.

In addition, UATV channels covered the Ukraine–NB8 Summit, the G7 Summit, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. President Donald Trump, and the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) held in Gdańsk, Poland. Early in the month, President Zelenskyy’s open letter to Vladimir Putin, in which he declared his readiness for a face-to-face meeting to end the war, also became a major news event. UATV audiences also showed strong interest in reports on Zelenskyy’s ultimatum to self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, demanding that Belarus disable transmitters helping Russian drones attack Ukraine.

In June, the UATV English YouTube channel recorded 13.7 million views. Live-stream viewership continued to grow, reaching 304,000 views, compared with 246,000 in May, while original productions generated 4.3 million views, up from 3.3 million a month earlier. The share of international viewers also increased, with foreign audiences accounting for 96.9% of all viewers in June. The channel’s largest audiences came from the United States (25.2%), United Kingdom (7.6%), Russia (7.2%), Canada (6.1%) and Japan (4.5%).

Viewers were most interested in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statements on pathways to achieving peace in Ukraine and in reports on successful Ukrainian strikes against facilities Russia uses to wage or finance the war. More than 960,000 views were generated by Zelenskyy’s statement following the Russian strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra that if Russia continued missile attacks against Ukraine, Kyiv would strike Moscow in response. Another 650,000 views were generated by a report explaining how Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries are seriously undermining Russia’s economy.

Videos published on the UATV English Facebook page generated 15.7 million views, compared with 9.8 million in May. The largest audiences traditionally came from the United States (21%), Nigeria (5.3%) and India (4.8%), while the share of international viewers increased from 91.5% in May to 96% in June.

The English-language The Gaze YouTube channel also continued its steady growth. Its content generated 732,000 views in June, the highest monthly result since the beginning of 2026. The largest audiences came from the United States (28.9%), United Kingdom (7.9%) and Canada (5.6%), while international viewers accounted for 92.4% of total viewership. Audiences were most interested in reports about the successful destruction by the Ukrainian Defense Forces of Russian logistics routes and military equipment in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The The Gaze Facebook page generated 1.7 million views in June, compared with 1.2 million in May. The largest audiences came from Venezuela (20.2%), the United States (18.9%) and Brazil (10.1%), while international users accounted for 96% of the audience.

The Spanish-language UATV Español YouTube channel also continued its rapid growth, reaching 5.7 million views in June — 900,000 more than the previous month and the highest monthly result in the channel’s history. Short-form videos remained the audience’s preferred format, generating 2.9 million views, compared with 2 million in May. For six consecutive months, international viewers have accounted for 99.7% of the audience. The largest audiences came from Spain (13.7%), the United States (13.3%) and Mexico (8.6%).

Like UATV English, the channel’s audience was particularly interested in President Zelenskyy’s statement following the strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra that if Ukraine burns because of Russian missiles, Moscow will burn in response. The video generated more than 440,000 views. The UATV Español Facebook page received 2.5 million views, with the largest audiences coming from Venezuela (21%), Argentina (16%) and Ecuador (8%). International viewers accounted for 97% of the audience.

Content published by UATV Português generated more than 1.4 million views in June. Interest in short-form videos and live streams continued to grow. The largest audiences came from Brazil (68.6%) and Portugal (13.3%), while international viewers accounted for 99.3% of the audience. As with The Gaze, viewers showed the strongest interest in Ukrainian Defense Forces’ successes in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The UATV Português Facebook page tripled its audience in June, reaching 1.1 million views, compared with 323,000 in May. International audiences accounted for 99%, with the largest audiences coming from Brazil (27.5%), Angola (10.9%) and Portugal (9.3%).

June also became a record month for the Arabic-language UATV Arabic Facebook page, where content generated 9.9 million views, compared with 5.3 million in May. The largest audiences came from Algeria (18.3%), Iraq (13.5%) and Morocco (12.1%), while international viewers accounted for 99% of total traffic.

The UATV Arabic YouTube channel generated 526,000 views. The month’s most popular video featured President Zelenskyy’s warning following the Russian strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. International audiences accounted for 95.7% of viewers, with the largest audiences coming from Algeria (17.6%), Morocco (11.4%) and Iraq (8.3%).

The German-language UATV Deutsch Facebook page also delivered strong results in June, reaching 1 million views, more than 2.3 times higher than in May. The largest audiences came from Germany (35%), Austria (7%) and Switzerland (5.6%), while international viewers accounted for 99% of the audience.

The UATV Deutsch YouTube channel also continued to grow, attracting 190,000 views in June, with 95.5% of viewers coming from abroad. Like the Facebook page, the channel’s largest audiences came from Germany (48.7%), Austria (12.3%) and Switzerland (9.1%). The month’s most popular video featured sniper Ruta, who shared her unique combat experience and the equipment used by reconnaissance units.

Views of the Turkish-language UATV Türkçe Facebook page more than tripled in June, increasing from 327,000 in May to 1.3 million. Most viewers came from Türkiye (65%), while international audiences accounted for 99% of total viewership.

Meanwhile, the UATV Türkçe YouTube channel generated 133,000 views. The largest audiences came from Türkiye (35%), Azerbaijan (19.4%) and Germany (4.2%), while international viewers accounted for 86% of the audience. The month’s most popular video featured President Zelenskyy’s statement that the European Union had confirmed its readiness to open the first negotiation cluster in Ukraine’s EU accession process.

The UATV po polsku channel generated more than 485,000 Facebook views and 270,000 YouTube views during June. Polish audiences remained dominant, accounting for more than 72% of YouTube viewers, while international audiences represented 91% overall. The month’s most popular video showed Ukrainian Defense Forces striking a factory in Voronezh that manufactures components for Russian Iskander missiles.

The international broadcasting team also continued developing the Hungarian-language UATV Magyarul channel, which generated 111,000 YouTube views, with 65% of viewers coming from Hungary, and the French-language UATV Français channel, which generated 35,000 views, with 41% of viewers coming from France.

Work also continued to expand the reach of YouTube Community posts across UATV channels. In June, UATV English Community posts generated 14.6 million impressions, while UATV Español reached 2 million. UATV Português Community posts generated 726,000 views, UATV Arabic reached 328,000, The Gaze Community generated 555,000, and UATV Deutsch Community exceeded 132,000 views.

Overall, posts published in the YouTube Communities of UATV English, UATV Español, UATV Português, UATV Arabic, UATV Deutsch and The Gaze reached 18.3 million impressions in June. Audiences showed the greatest interest in statements by Ukrainian and partner-country officials on achieving a just peace in Ukraine, battlefield developments, and successful strikes against Russian military and logistics facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea and deep inside Russia.
