Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz sharply defended Warsaw’s decision to supply Patriot missiles to Ukraine, arguing that supporting Kyiv is in Poland’s own national security interestUATV English reports.

Responding to criticism from allies of President Karol Nawrocki, Kosiniak-Kamysz said he would rather see Polish-supplied Patriot systems intercept Russian missiles over Kyiv than over Warsaw.

“I prefer our Patriot missiles to shoot down Russian missiles over Kyiv rather than over Warsaw. Those who criticize Poland’s support for Ukraine have lost their minds. It drives me mad,” the defense minister said.

Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that Poland’s military assistance to Ukraine is not only an act of solidarity but also a key element of Poland’s own defense strategy, helping to stop Russian aggression before it reaches NATO’s eastern flank.
