The undermining of the Kakhovka HPP dam will not affect Ukraine’s counteroffensive: Russia’s goals were announced in Ukrainian intelligence

The Ukrainian defense security forces calculated various scenarios of the behavior of the terrorist state, and the scenario with the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station (HPP) dam was also calculated, so this act of terrorism will not affect the counteroffensive of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this today, June 6, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

According to him, Russia pursued several goals by blowing up the dam.

“This terrorist attack is an attempt to make it difficult for the Ukrainian security and defense forces to liberate our territories. This terrorist attack is an attempt to return directly to nuclear blackmail regarding the situation around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. And this terrorist attack is, of course, a psychological weapon, because scorched earth tactics are the argument used by Putin and his henchmen,” Yusov said.

He drew attention to the fact that the civilized world has long learned to deal with terrorists.

“Ukraine, of course, will not give in, just like the entire free world, which unequivocally today assesses this crime as a war crime, a terrorist act on the part of the so-called Russian Federation, Putin’s regime,” added the representative of Ukrainian intelligence.
