The first pilot centers for mass vaccination against COVID-19 will be opened in 3 cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa. They will start working on May 29th. Press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported this, UATV informs.
“The pilot vaccination centers will be opened to test the algorithm for mass vaccination in large premises. When Ukraine receives more vaccines, such centers will be created in other big cities”, – the statement said.
These centers will be open on weekends. They will vaccinate citizens who are on the waiting list for vaccination against COVID-19 in the application or through the Diia website or through the contact center of the Ministry of Health.
The first centers will operate at the following locations:
– Kyiv: International Exhibition Center;
– Lviv: “Arena Lviv” stadium;
– Odesa: Stadium of the Odesa Law Academy.
Vaccinations will be given only for those people who were previously invited for vaccination by phone call. Priority will be given to the elderly. Vaccination will take place in compliance with all sanitary and anti-epidemic requirements.
“It is impossible to choose a vaccine in mass vaccination centers. The vaccine that is available in Ukraine will be used. Starting May 29, the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech will be used”, – they said in the Ministry of Health.
