The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine presented a draft budget for 2022

Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko presented a bill on the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

This is reported by UA with the reference to the broadcast of the Verkhovna Rada meeting.

The minister reminded that this year the budget was developed on the basis of a budget declaration, for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine.

Doctors, military, war veterans are among the priorities in 2022. Scholarships for students will be increased for the first time since 2017. Real GDP growth in 2022 is planned at 3.8%.The financial resource that the state expects in 2022 is UAH 1 trillion 466 billion.

“The state budget deficit will decrease from 5.5% to 3.5% of GDP – up to UAH 188 billion. This means that next year the state plans to reduce the amount of state borrowings by UAH 60 billion to finance the state budget” – said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

The main indicators of the draft budget-2022:

  • GDP – real GDP growth in Ukraine is expected at 3.8%, inflation (December to December) will be 6.2%,
  • the revenue of the state budget in 2022 will amount to UAH 1277.7 billion, which is UAH 161.7 billion more than in 2021;
  • costs will increase by UAH 103.1 billion to UAH 1465.7 billion;
  • the state budget deficit is planned at the level of UAH 188 billion.

  • The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – UAH 131.0 billion
  • The defence industry of Ukraine – UAH 2.5 billion
  • war veterans – UAH 13.9 billion
  • Pension Fund of Ukraine – UAH 531.2 billion
  • pensions – UAH 200.6 billion
  • subsidies – UAH 41.4 billion
  • education – UAH 185.6 billion
  • Healthcare – UAH 197.2 billion
  • vaccination – UAH 6.0 billion

To remind, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft law on the state budget for 2022 at meeting on Wednesday, September 15.
