Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked the Netherlands for its decision to host the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

In a post on X, Sybiha expressed gratitude to Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen and the Dutch government for agreeing to host the tribunal during its operational phase, UATV English reports.

“I am grateful to my colleague Tom Berendsen and the Government of the Netherlands for this principled decision. The Netherlands’ offer to host the operational phase of the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression is another important step toward holding Russia’s leadership and all those responsible for crimes against Ukraine accountable,” Sybiha said.

He added that the Netherlands continues to demonstrate leadership in advancing international justice.

“Ukraine is ready to work closely with our Dutch partners to establish this Tribunal and ensure that Russia is inevitably held accountable for the crime of aggression,” the minister said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten during a phone call for what he described as the historic decision to host the full-fledged Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
