Ukraine is increasing the intensity of its strikes against Russian military logistics in occupied Crimea, according to the latest intelligence assessment by the UK’s Ministry of Defence, UATV English reports.
The report says that during the night of June 20, Ukrainian forces struck multiple targets across occupied Crimea and the Kerch Strait crossing. The targets included air defense systems, fuel storage facilities, and three vehicle ferries used to transport supplies.
According to the assessment, disabling the three ferries has almost certainly worsened already significant logistical challenges on the peninsula. British intelligence notes that Crimea is currently experiencing widespread fuel shortages and delays at ferry crossings.
The report adds that security measures introduced after Ukraine’s first attack on the Kerch Bridge in October 2022 prohibit trucks from using the bridge. Heavy vehicles are transported by ferry instead, while only passenger cars, buses, and certain rail traffic are allowed to cross the bridge.
Earlier Ukrainian strikes in March and April 2026 targeted the remaining ferries supporting Russian military logistics. British intelligence assesses that those vessels are almost certainly still undergoing repairs.
The UK Ministry of Defence says Ukraine is conducting increasingly intensive strikes against Russian military logistics networks in occupied territory, enabled by a growing range of strike capabilities, including one-way attack drones and long-range precision munitions.
According to the assessment, the scale of these attacks is also stretching Russian air defenses, even around heavily protected priority locations such as the Kerch Strait.
British intelligence concludes that this expands Ukraine’s opportunities to strike the Kerch Bridge, which remains both a strategically important military asset and a politically sensitive target for Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
