The mother of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Giuli Alasania, is asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to help her son and arrange for him to be sent to Ukraine for treatment.

She said this in a video address to the president, published on Saakashvili’s Facebook page, UA reports.

“Hello. I am Misha Saakashvili’s mother. We are at a dead end. My son is killed in front of me. I want to turn to Mr. Zelenskyy, who has helped us many times before. But now we especially need his support and help. It is necessary to somehow organize the transfer of Michael here to Ukraine. So that here he could receive the appropriate treatment, the appropriate care and was able to somehow survive. He is already on the 35th day of the hunger strike. Can you imagine?” – Giuli Alasania said.

Saakashvili’s mother added that anything could happen to her son at any moment.

“But no one cares. The only thing he is offered is a prison hospital. Where there are no appropriate specialists, where there are no conditions for the treatment of such patients. I really hope for you. To all of you – people in Ukraine. On deputies, and I address to the authorities of Ukraine. Of course, first of all to Mr. Zelenskyy”
