The Russian Federation’s so-called “humanitarian convoy” of 17 trucks has once again violated the Ukrainian border, shipping aid cargo to militants in Donbas, the press office of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported on December 19, 2019.

“The convoy of trucks headed through the Ukrainian border blatantly violating international, Ukrainian laws, and the set of the ICRC standard working modalities,” the statement reads.

Two columns passed through the checkpoints “Matveyev Kugan” and “Donetsk,” allegedly shipping equipment, medicines, and packets for children. However, representatives of Ukrainian border officers having no ability to check the cargo carried out only visual observation without performing control functions.

It was the 12th cargo transfer from the Russian Federation in 2019.
