It makes no sense for the owner of the Kremlin to change Lukashenko, since he does everything that Moscow wants from him. Allegedly, Lukashenko’s evasion of participation in the war is part of a certain tactic that the two dictators are implementing together. Franak Vyachorka, senior adviser to Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, shared this opinion on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel today, November 28.
He stressed that power for Lukashenka is the goal of life, for which he can sacrifice even members of his family, as he had previously sacrificed the Belarusian people. This suits Putin perfectly.
“In 2020, he clearly chose Putin instead of the Belarusian people, because the people are much more terrible for him than Putin … Now many say that Lukashenko is doing well, he shirks participation in the war. I think that they still play a doubles game, agree on some tactics. Putin now does not need to replace Lukashenka with anyone, because he does everything that Putin needs now,” comments Vyachorka.
The guest of the broadcast emphasizes that Lukashenko scares Ukraine, makes statements regarding NATO, provides the Russian army with all the necessary infrastructure, sends tanks, missiles, and armored vehicles to it. According to Vyachorka, Lukashenko is doing all this, most likely, for free.
“Well, where else can you find such a loyal ally?! Lukashenko said that Russia needs us. He is absolutely right. He needs Putin. But Putin does not need to replace Lukashenko now either,” Franak Vyachorka summed up.
