It is yet uknown which position Danilov will hold in the future, but he has already commented on his dismissal.

“4 years 5 months 24 days as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. A job that was dedicated to the last. Days for which I am not ashamed. Hours that flew by like lightning. I am grateful to fate for giving me the opportunity to serve my country and my people in times of peace and war!” Danilov wrote on Facebook.

He added that eventually “the russian monster will be annihilated, the bizarre creature will collapse and perish in the darkness of history – and this will be done by a Ukrainian warrior who has our history, our destiny and our mission – “to be a sword in the darkness; a watchman on the Wall; a shield guarding the kingdom of people”

Danilov held the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council from October 3, 2019, and Lytvynenko led the Foreign Intelligence Service from July 23, 2021.
