Many infrastructure projects are being implemented in Ukraine. Their goal is to make a “showcase” out of the country. The head of state noted the active construction of roads in the country, in particular.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, Ukrainian organizations and churches in the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York, UA informs with the reference to “Dom”.
“Who are Ukrainians abroad? Sorry that I am not saying that you are Americans. I believe that you are Ukrainians who are, so to say, “in a long business trip” – the President addressed the meeting participants.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the priority of his activity is the restoration of peace in Ukraine. He emphasized that this goal will be achieved through diplomatic means.
“But there is also a need of the pressure from the international community, everyone who can do at least something to restore the integrity of our state with all our people and territories” – he added.
The President noted that Ukraine is actively developing in all directions now. Large infrastructure projects are being implemented in the country.
“I was driving around New York. I want to say that our roads are already better. Indeed, we are building them now. And now I would like, maybe it is not so correctly said, that we “lick” our state, so that it becomes a “showcase”. Because our historical castles, places, streets, paving stones, roads, bridges – are very important” – said Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He also said that the country is currently discussing the introduction of dual citizenship, in particular, between Ukraine and the United States. But not all states will have dual citizenship, since “some Ukrainians live in those countries that are not our friends”.
