The occupiers deployed additional elements of the reconnaissance system along the contact line in eastern Ukraine, Ukrinform writes.
As the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs, the command of the Russian Armed Forces continues to keep ready the units and divisions of the operational grouping of the Russian-occupation forces in the temporarily occupied territory in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“In particular, during the New Year holidays, the enemy strengthened the advanced positions of the 1st (Donetsk) and the 2nd (Luhansk) army corps with additional personnel and weapons,” the statement reads.
In addition, the occupiers deployed additional elements of the reconnaissance system along the contact line and increased the number of sniper pairs. Under the leadership of officers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, artillery exercises are being held to clarify the targets at the positions of the Joint Forces.
